S.O. 3927(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 read with Sub-section (3) of
section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government, after
consulting the Bureau of Indian Standard is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the
public interest, hereby makes the following Order, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) This order may be called the Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Styrene
(ABS) (Quality Control) Order, 2021.
(2) It shall come into force on the expiry of one hundred and eighty days from the date of its
publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Conformity to standard and compulsory use of Standard Mark. -- Goods or articles specified in
column (1) of the Table below shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard in column (2) of the said
Table and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards as per
Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018:
Provided that nothing in this Order shall apply to goods or articles meant for export.
3. Certification and enforcement authority. - The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and
enforcing authority in respect of the goods or articles specified in column (1) of the said Table.
4. Penalty for contravention. - Any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be

का.आ. 3930(अ).—केंद्रीय सरकार की, भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो अजधजनयम, 2016 (2016 का 11), की धारा 16
के साथ पठित धारा 25 की उप-धारा (3) द्वारा प्रदत्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए,भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो स े परामिव के
पश् चात यह राय ह ै दक लोक जहत म ें ऐसा करना आर्श्यक या समीचीन ह,ै जनम्नजलजखत आदेि करती ह,ै अथावत:-
1. संजिप्त नाम, प्रारंभ और लागू होना - (1) इस आदेि का नाम पॉलीकाबोनेट (गुणर्त्ता जनयंत्रण) आदेि, 2021
ह।ै
(2) यह रािपत्र में इसके प्रकािन की तारीख से एक सौ अस्ट्सी ददनों की समाजप्त पर प्रर्ृत्त होगा।
2. मानकों के साथ अनुरूपता और मानक जचह्न का अजनर्ायव उपयोग- जनम्नजलजखत सारणी के स्ट्तंभ (1) म ें
जर्जनर्दष्टव माल या र्स्ट्तुए,ं उि सारणी के स्ट्तंभ (2) म ें ददए गए संगत भारतीय मानक के अनरूु प होंग े और भारतीय मानक
ब्यूरो (अनुरूपता जनधारव ण) जर्जनयम, 2018 की अनुसूची-II की स्ट्कीम-I के अनुसार भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो स े एक अनुज्ञजप्त
के अधीन मानक जचह्न धारण करेंगे।
इसका कुछ भी जनयावत के जलए मालों या र्स्ट्तओंु पर लागू नहीं होगा।
3. प्रमाणन और प्रर्तवन प्राजधकारी- सारणी के स्ट्तंभ (1) म ें जर्जनर्दष्टव मालों या र्स्ट्तुओं के संबंध म ें ब्यूरो प्रमाणन

4. उल्लंघन के जलए िाजस्ट्त-कोई भी व्यजि िो इस आदेि के उपबंधों का उल्लंघन करता ह,ै उि अजधजनयम के

S.O. 3930(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 read with Sub-section (3) of
section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government, after
consulting the Bureau of Indian Standard is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do in the
public interest, hereby makes the following Order, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement. – (1) This Order may be called the Polycarbonate (Quality Control)
Order, 2021.
(2) It shall come into force on the expiry of one hundred and eighty days from the date of its
publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Conformity to standard and compulsory use of Standard Mark. -- Goods or articles specified in
column (1) of the Table below shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard in column (2) of the said
Table and shall bear the Standard Mark under a licence from the Bureau of Indian Standards as per
Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018:
Provided that nothing in this Order shall apply to goods or articles meant for export.
3. Certification and enforcement authority. - The Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and
enforcing authority in respect of the goods or articles specified in column (1) of the said Table.
4. Penalty for contravention. - Any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be
punishable under the provisions of the said Act.
