Delhi, the 12th October, 2021
No. F.23 (7)/DE/RTE/2017/PF-VI/ 262.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 38 and sub-section
(1) of section 34 read with sub clause (B) of clause (ii) of sub – section (a) of section 2 of the Right of Children to
Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (35 of 2009), the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi
hereby reconstitutes the State Advisory Council as per the following composition:-
Chairperson
Hon’ble Minister of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Ex-officio Members
1. Principal Secretary (Education), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.
2. Director (Education), Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi.[PART IV DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 3
3. Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training, Delhi.
4. Chairperson, Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
5. State Project Director (Samagra Shiksha-Delhi).
6. Additional Director of Education (Schools), Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory
of Delhi, shall be ex-officio Member-Secretary of the Council.

The function of the State Advisory Council shall be to advise the State Government on implementation of the
provisions of The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, in an effective manner. The
Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi will serve as the Secretariat to the State
Advisory Council.
The terms and conditions would be notified later.
The period of tenure of nominated members of State Advisory Council would be two years from the date of
issue of this notification.
This notification replaces the previous notification No. F.23 (7)/RTE/2011/369 dated 17/05/2018 on the
subject.
