टिप्पण 1: पोषक प्रिग ा के ऐस े जिभागीय अजधकारी,िो प्रोन्नजत की सीधी पंजि म ें ह,ैं प्रजतजियुजि पर जियुजि के
जलए जिचार दकये िाि े के पात्र िहीं होंग े । इसी प्रकार, प्रजतजियुजि व्यजि प्रोन्नजत द्वारा जियुजि के जलए जिचार

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th July, 2022
G.S.R. 591(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the
President hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology
(Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ posts in Official Language Cadre) Recruitment Rules, 2017, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Group ‘A’ and
Group ‘B’ posts in Official Language Cadre) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2022.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ posts in Official
Language Cadre) Recruitment Rules, 2017 in the Schedule,-
(a) against serial number 1 relating to the post of Joint Director (OL),-
(i) in column (6), in the Note, for the words “Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State”, the words
“Union territory of Ladakh” shall be substituted;
(ii) in column (11), for the existing entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-
“Promotion:
From amongst Deputy Director (OL) in Level-11 in the pay matrix (Rs. 67,700- 2,08,700/-) with five years'
regular service in the grade.
Deputation:
Officers from the Central Government or State Governments or Union territory Administration or Public
Sector Undertakings or Autonomous bodies,-
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in parent cadre or Department; or
(ii) with five years regular service in Level -11 in the pay matrix (Rs. 67,700-2,08,700); and
(b) possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for direct recruits under column (7).
Note 1: The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be
eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, the deputationists shall not be eligible for
consideration for appointment by promotion.
Note 2: Period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately
preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or Department of the Central Government
shall ordinarily not exceed four years.
Note 3: The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation shall be ‘not exceeding fifty six years’ as on
the closing date of receipt of applications.” ;
(b) against serial number 2 relating to the post of Deputy Director (OL),-
(i) in column (6), in the Note, for the words “Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State”, the
words “Union territory of Ladakh” shall be substituted;
(ii) in column (11), for the existing entries, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:-
“Promotion:
From amongst Assistant Director (OL) in Level-10 in the pay matrix (Rs. 56,100- 1, 77,500/-) with five

Note 1: The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be
eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly, the deputationists shall not be eligible for
consideration for appointment by promotion.
Note 2: Period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately
preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or Department of the Central Government
shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
Note 3: The maximum age-limit for appointment by deputation shall be ‘not exceeding fifty six years’ as on
the closing date of receipt of applications.” ;
(d) against serial number 4 relating to the post of Senior Translator ,-
(i) in column (6), in the Note, for the words “Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State” , the words
“Union territory of Ladakh” shall be substituted;
(ii) in column (11),-
(A) under the heading “Promotion” for the word “approved”, the word “regular ” shall be substituted;
(B) “Note 1” shall be omitted;
(C) under the heading “Deputation”, for the words “Officers from the Central Government or State
Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings”, the words “Officers from the Central
Government or State Governments or Union Territory Administration or Public Sector Undertakings or
Autonomous bodies” shall be substituted;
(e) against serial number 5 relating to the post of Junior Translator, in column (6), in the Note, for the words
“Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State”, the words “Union territory of Ladakh)” shall be substituted.
