Impact Analysis

Farmers/Sellers

  • Action Items: Farmers and sellers need to be informed about the new fee structure to accurately account for these costs in their transactions. They should also assess if these changes impact their profitability and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.

Buyers

  • Action Items: Buyers need to update their cost calculations to reflect the new labor charges. They should also communicate these changes to their downstream stakeholders, such as distributors or consumers, as necessary.

Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC), Narela

  • Action Items: The APMC needs to ensure that the revised fee structure is properly communicated to all stakeholders (farmers, sellers, buyers, and market intermediaries). They also need to update their billing and accounting systems to reflect the changes. Monitoring and enforcement mechanisms should be in place to ensure compliance with the new regulations.

Consumers

  • Action Items: Monitor price fluctuations of agricultural commodities to assess the impact on consumers. If significant price increases are observed, consider measures to mitigate the impact on vulnerable populations.
