A registered non-proflt making public Trust, a ComPany registered under Section 8
on Indian Companies Act 2O13 or a Public Sector Undertaking before establishing
maritime training institute arrd running any DGS approved maritime pre-sea and
post-sea courses has to obtain approval from the Directorate. This Directorate had
prescribed processing fee to process the applications for approval of training institute
or for additional courses. Since the last revision_ of processing fee was done in the year
of 2OOO, the Directorate General of Shipping has decided to revise the processing fee
for the approval of new maritime institute and maritime courses under the following
terms ald conditions:

A registered non-profit making public Trust, a section 8 company or a Public
Sector Undertaking shall pay a fee of Rs.3,O0,OOO/- along with on-line
application for in-principal approval to set up the institute.

The request for shifting of premises will be considered after receipt of processing

The request for approval for new maritime courses will be considered only after

receipt of processing fee as per the fee structure enclosed as Annexure-2.
The processing fee has been worked out on the basis of duration of the course,
demand for the course, fees charged for the course by the institutes and the
importance of the course.
3. The processing fee for the ma.ritime training courses is to be paid through e-
governzrnce training module (on-line).
4. The processing fee is one-time payment which will be non-refundable and non-
transferable in any case.
5. If the proposal for the course is rejected by the Directorate, the processing fee paid
shall not be refunded or shall not be adjusted against any other maritime course.
6. This Training Circular supersedes -
(a) Training Circular No. 7 of 20OO dated 08. 1 l.2OOO.
