Short Title and Commencement. (1) These rules may called the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Department of Archaeology, Archaeological Engineer Recruitment Rules, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. 2. Application. These rules shall apply to the posts specified in column (1) of Schedule annexed to these rules.4 DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY PART IV] 3. Number of Posts, its classification and level in pay matrix. The number of the said post, its classification and level in pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in column (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 4. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualification etc. The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post, shall be as specified in the columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule. 5. Disqualifications. No persons, - (a) Who has entered into or contracted marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) Who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said post: Provided that the Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule. 6. Power to relax. Where the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient to do so, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, and in consultation with the Union Public Service Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 7. Saving. Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with orders issued by Government of India from time to time, in this regard. Public Sector Undertakings / Statutory or Autonomous Organizations/ Recognized[PART IV DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 5 Universities/ Recognized Research Institutes: (a)(i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department; or (ii) with five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in Level-6 in the Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/ department; AND (b) possessing the following educational qualification and experience : Essential: (i) Graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute. Experience : Three years experience in the field of Civil Engineering. Note 1: The Departmental Surveyor in Level-6 (Rs. 35400 - 112400) of the pay matrix with five years regular service in the grade and possessing the qualification of Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering will also be considered along with outsiders and in case he/she is selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion. Note 2: The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications. 12.
