The policy aims to standardize and clarify the process for filling the Chief Water Analyst positions. **2. Introduction:** The purpose of this report is to provide an informative overview of the Delhi Jal Board Chief Water Analyst Recruitment Regulations, 2022, as detailed in the provided government notification. The analysis is based solely on the information contained within the provided text. **3. Policy Overview:** This is a *New Policy* establishing recruitment regulations for the post of Chief Water Analyst in the Delhi Jal Board. Core Objective(s) as inferred from the text: * To define the qualifications, experience, and process for recruitment to the position of Chief Water Analyst. * To establish a clear framework for both promotion and deputation as methods of recruitment. * To define the roles and responsibilities of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and the Delhi Jal Board in the recruitment process. **4. Background and Rationale:** As a new policy, the provided text suggests this is intended to address the need for formalized and updated recruitment procedures for the Chief Water Analyst position. The notification explicitly states that it is in supersession of earlier recruitment and promotion regulations notified in 2016, implying the previous regulations were either inadequate or outdated. The policy likely addresses inconsistencies or ambiguities in the prior process, aiming to create a more structured and transparent approach to recruitment. The emphasis on qualifications and experience points towards a need to ensure competent personnel are appointed to these critical roles. **5. The UPSC is involved in the selection process for promotions. * **Timelines/Procedures:** The regulations come into force upon publication in the Delhi Gazette. The text implies a need for the DJB to establish internal procedures for processing promotions and deputations, including verifying qualifications, experience, and training. There is a mention of a closing date for application receipt, implying a structured application process will be defined by the DJB. * **Focus on changes (N/A - New Policy)** **8.
