No. 16 (891)/UD/W/2023/021755469/487.—The following recruitment regulations made by the Delhi Water Board in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (m) sub-section (2) of section 109 read with sections 7 and 51 of the Delhi Water Board Act, 1998 (Delhi Act. No. 4 of 1998) and in supersession of Delhi Administration Notification No. 16 (422) /UD/W/ 2013/653 dated 31.12.2014 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession for regulating the method of recruitment to the post of ‘Hindi Officer’ in the Delhi Water Board, are hereby published, namely:— 1. Short title and commencement:—(I) These regulations may be called the ‘Hindi Officer’ in Delhi Jal Board Recruitment and Promotion Regulations, 2025. (II) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette. 2. Application:—They Shall apply to the post specified in Column No. 1 of the schedule thereto annexed.[PART IV DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY 5 3. Number of posts, classification and Level in the Pay matrix:—The number of said posts, its classification and Level in the Pay matrix shall be as specified in columns 2 to 4 of the Schedule annexed to these regulations. 4. Method of recruitment, age limit and other qualifications: -The method of recruitment to the said posts, age limit, qualifications and other matters connected therewith shall be as specified in columns 5 to 13 of the said Schedule. 5. Disqualification:─ No person; (a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to any of the said posts: Provided that Delhi Water Board may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any persons from the operation for this regulation. 6. Regular Service: - “Regular Service” in relation to any grade means the period or periods of service in the grade, rendered after selection in accordance with the prescribed procedure of selection on long terms appointment to that grade and shall include any period or periods during which an officer would have held a duty post in that grade but for his being on leave or otherwise not being available for holding such post. 7. Power to relax the provisions: - Where the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by an order and for reasons to be recorded in writing and consultation with the Union Public Service Commission relax any of the provisions of these regulations with respect to any class or category of persons. 8. Saving:—Nothing in these regulations shall affect reservations and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Class and other special categories of persons in accordance with orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. (ii) recognized diploma or certificate course intranslation from Hindito English and vice versa or three years' experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in a central or state government office, including govt. of India undertaking. The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. similarly, deputationists shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.
