No.F.27/59-Him(i) dated 13th July, 1959 and in supersession of Notification No.F.27(8)/88-Edn. dated 24thJuly, 1995 published by the Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, regarding Recruitment Rules for the post of Assistant Director of Education (PE and NI) and others, the Lieutenant Governor, National Capital Territory of Delhi after prior consultation with Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) hereby makes rules regulating the method of recruitment to the post of Assistant Director of Education (PE and NI) in Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi as following, namely: 1. Short title and commencement – (i) These rules may be called the Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Assistant Director of Education (PE and NI), Recruitment Rules 2022. (ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. Number of posts, its classification and pay level in the pay matrix :- The number of said post, its classification and pay scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in Columns 2 to 4 of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications etc:- The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said posts, shall be as specified in the Columns 5 to 13 of the said Schedule.4 DELHI GAZETTE : EXTRAORDINARY PART IV] 4. Disqualifications:- No person, (a) Who has entered or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or (b) Who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted marriage with any person; shall be eligible for appointment to any of the said posts: Provided that Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, may, if satisfied that such a marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds of doing so, exempt any person from the operation of this regulation. 5. Power to relax: - Where the Government is of opinion that if necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, may relax any of the provision of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons. 6. Saving:- Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Schedule Tribes, Ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons, in accordance with the orders issued by the Government from time to time in this regard.
