Resident Commissioner, A.P.Bhavan, New Delhi.
4. O/o. the Superintendent, Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, A.P,
RC.NO.MRD/MB/2011/143/535, Dated: 19.08.2011.

ORDER:
In the reference 2nd read above Sri C. Anand Raghav, Sr. Assistant, Andhra
Pradesh, Guest House, New Delhi has stated that he is afflicted with Spinocerebellar
Ataxia (Type-3) a type of ataxia among a group of inherited diseases of the central
nervous system SCA-3 results from a specific genetic defect that leads to impairment
of the nerve cell in the brain and nerve fibers carrying messages to and from the
brain. He also stated that he is physically not in a position to attend normal duties
effectively, so he intent to retire from the Govt. Service provided his problem comes
under medical invalidation that his wife, who is 41years old/Graduate and eligible for
Junior Asst. Post, could get appointed on compassionate grounds.
2. The Resident Commissioner, A.P.Bhavan, New Delhi vide reference 3rd read
above, while forwarding the representation of Sri C. Anand Raghav, Sr. Assistant
stated that he needs sympathetic consideration on humanitarian grounds and
requested to refer the case to Medical Board as a special case, in relaxation of
orders issued in ref. 1st read above.
3. The Medical Board vide ref 4th read above have certified that he is suffering
from a slowly progressive cerebellar ataxia, which is genetically transmitted disease
and presently has no known treatment. He has no weakness in any limb, he cannot
considered to have paralysis or paralysis of any limb and he cannot be invalidated
under any of the other neurological diseases covered in the G.O.Ms.No.661,
dt:23.10.08, 16 (i) (g) (1). But certified that the patient is physically handicapped by
the progressive ataxia.
4. Government after careful examination and taking into consideration the Medical
Certificate given by the Regional Medical Board, Osmania General Hospital,
Hyderabad, hereby permit Sri C. Anand Raghav, Sr. Assistant to retire from service
on Medical Invalidation duly permitting to appoint his wife on compassionate grounds
on Medical Invalidation as a Special case, as he is suffering from a slowly
progressive cerebellar ataxia, which is genetically transmitted disease and presently
has no known treatment, in relaxation of orders issued in the ref. 1st read above.-2-
5. The Resident Commissioner, A.P.Bhavan, New Delhi is requested to take action
accordingly.
