Read: From the Commissioner & Director of Agriculture, Hyderabad Lr.No. AI (2) 1220/2009, dated: 21-12-2011. &&& ORDER:- In the letter read above, the Commissioner & Director of Agriculture, Hyderabad has stated that as per the adhoc rules issued in G.O.Ms.no.339, F&A ( FP.IV) Dept., dated: 26-6-1985, the post of Joint Director of Agriculture ( M&E) and Special Officer (Crop Insurance) are to be filled with candidates possessing Post Graduation qualification in Commerce, Economic and Statistics. Since none of the officers working in Statistical Wing are having the above qualification, the post of Special Officer, JDA is being filled with the Agril. Graduaates with B.SC (Ag.). 2. The C&DA, Hyd., has also stated that Sri. T. Penchalaiah, Deputy Director (Statistics) is having a degree in B.Com and has put in more than (34) years of service in the department. As there were no qualified persons, the B.Sc.,(Ag.) possessing persons were promoted as Joint Director of Agriculture . He is having only 5 months of service, since he is retiring on 31-5-2012. It will not make much difference if his case is considered for promotion as Joint Director (Special Officer) Crop Insurance. 3 Therefore, the C&DA, Hyd., has requested the Govt., the case of Sri.T. Penchalaiah, Statistician may kindly be considered for promotion to the post of Special Officer, (Crop Insurance), O/o C&DA, (JD category), duly relaxing the educational qualification, sine the Agril. Graduates were considered for promotion to that post earlier. 4. In view of the above, circumstances stated by the C&DA,Hyd., Government after careful consideration, hereby relax the rule of minimum educational qualification as stipulated in the G.O.Ms.No.339, F&A ( FP.IV) Dept., dated: 26-6-1985, in respect of Sri T.Penchalaiah, Deputy Director (Statistics) O/o C&DA, Hyd., so as to enable him for promotion to the category of Special Officer, (Crop Insurance) (JD category) on adhoc basis, as a special case. This order is not to be treated as precedent, since it is a special case. //pto// -2-5. The Commissioner & Director of Agriculture, Hyderabad shall take further necessary action in the matter and also requested to furnish the DPC proposals in respect of Sri T.Penchalaiah, Deputy Director (Statistics) for consideration of promotion to the category of Special Officer, (Crop Insurance) (JD category) immediately.
