Read the following:- 1) From Spl.Officer, (I/C) O/o the Advocates-on-Record, New Delhi Letter No.Rev.886,887,888/APLC/ROW/10 Dt:27-7-2011. 2) Govt.Memo.No.26654/UC.II(3)/98-56 dated 2-8-2011. 3) From District Collector, Ranga Reddy District Lr.No.F2/2717/2010 dated 11-8-2011. <o> O R D E R : In the reference 1st read above, the Special Officer (I/C)) Office of the Advocate- on-Record, New Delhi has informed that, the Advocate-on-Record has given the note that the SLPs 8675-78 of 2008, 9073 of 2008 & 1249 – 658 of 2008 filed by Sri Gangula Narasimha & others and O. Narasimha and others challenging the constitutional validity of the A.P. Tenancy Laws (Amendment Act 2002) and it is required to obtain the instructions from the department with regard to enagement of a Special Senior Counsel in view of the importance of the cases to appear in the matter on behalf of the Government. 2. In the reference 3rd read above, the District Collector, Ranga Reddy District has also informed that, the Counter Affidavits in the above SLPs have been sent to the Special Officer, Advocate on Record for A.P., New Delhi on 27-5-2011. The matter in the said SLPs related to challenging the Constitutional Validity of A.P. Tenancy Laws (Amendment) Act, 2002 and expressed the same opinion to to enage a Special Senior Counsel to appear in the matter on behalf of the Government before the Supreme Court of India. 3. In the circumstances reported by the Special Officer O/o Advocate on Record for A.P., New Delhi and District Collector, R.R.District in the reference 1st & 3rd read above, Government after careful examination of the issue, hereby accord permission to the Advocate-on-Record for A.P., Supreme Court of India for engaging the services of Special Senior Counsel to appear before Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to defend the cases and to protect the interest of the Government in SLPs 8675-78 of 2008, 9073 of 2008 & 1249 – 658 of 2008. 4. The Advocate-on-Record for A.P., Supreme Court of India, New Delhi shall take necessary further action in the matter and intimate the name of the Spl.Senior Counsel being engaged and also the stage of the case to Government from time to time.
