Rt. No. 249 Dt.14.02.2012. Read: From the Commissioner, Prohibition & Excise, Hyderabad, Letter Cr. No.12/2012/2012/CPE/SR-I, Dt.05.01.2012. -o0o- O R D E R: In the reference read above, the Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise has reported to the Government that 19 deaths occurred due to consumption of illicitly distilled liquor by the villagers of Poratanagar Thanda, Kanimerla Thanda and Naguluru Thanda of Mylavaram Mandal in Krishna District during the period from 30.12.2012 to 04.01.2012; and 32 persons were reported to have been hospitalized for the same reason. 2. Government after examination of the matter, have decided to conduct an inquiry into the circumstances leading to the whole incident and for suggesting remedial measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future. 3. Accordingly, Government hereby appoint Sri M. Sahoo, IAS., Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department as Enquiry Officer to inquire into the matter and submit his report to Government within a period of one month.
