O R D E R:
On the allegation of corruption against Sri Shaik Mahmood, Deputy
Commercial Tax Officer, Mahabubabad, Warangal District and as per the
recommendations of the Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad
made in the reference 1st read above, Government accorded sanction for
prosecution of the Accused Officer Sri Shaik Mahmood, Deputy Commercial
Tax Officer in the court of law, vide reference 2nd read above. The
Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad filed charge sheet in
the Court of Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad on 12.8.2005 and
the trial court, after conducting trial, pronounced its judgment duly
acquitting the Accused Officer from the charge, vide reference 3rd read
above.
2. In the reference 5th read above, based on the proposal of Director
General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Government have accorded permission to
the Director General, Anti-corruption Bureau to file an appeal in the High
Court of A.P against the acquittal judgment, dt: 20.4.2011 of II Addl. Special
Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad in CC No. 20/2010. Accordingly,
Criminal Appeal No. 1302/2011 has been filed before the High Court of A.P
and the same is pending.

3. In the reference 7th read above, Smt. Qamar Unnisa, W/o. Shaik
Mahmood, Deputy Commercial Tax Officer (Retd.) has stated that her
husband expired on 20.11.2011 at Hyderabad and produced a copy of death
certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Charminar, Circle
No.4, South Zone, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and requested to
drop further action in the matter.
4. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby decide
that further action against Sri Shaik Mahamood, Deputy Commercial Tax
Officer (Retired & expired) shall stand abated.
5. The Director General, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad /
Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, A.P, Hyderabad shall take necessary
further action in the matter, accordingly.
