Rt. No. 367 Dt.09.03.2012. Read: From the DSP, ACB, CIU, Hyderabad Radio Message, dt.04.03.2012. .o0o. O R D E R: It has come to the notice of the Competent Authority that Sri A.V. Narasimha Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise, Warangal was allegedly involved in a case of moral turpitude by abusing his official position, connived with private persons, i.e., liquor contractors and obtained pecuniary gain for himself and inturn caused pecuniary loss to the Government in allotment of A-4 retail Liquor Shops through tender process during the month of July, 2010 by manipulating the records and violating the provisions of A.P. Excise Act and Rules and was arrested at 6.30 PM on 03.03.2012 and remanded to judicial custody up to 16.03.2012 by the Hon’ble IInd Addl. Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad. Further investigation is under progress. 2. It is considered that his continuance in office will prejudice the investigation. 3. The Government, after careful consideration of the available material and having due regard to the circumstances of the case, is satisfied that the criminal charge under investigation was connected with his official position as a Government Servant and he is involved in a case of moral turpitude. Government considers it necessary to place Sri A.V. Narasimha Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise, Warangal under suspension. 4. Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of rule 8 of Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, hereby places the said A.V. Narasimha Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise, Warangal under suspension with effect from 03.03.2012 i.e., from the date of his arrest and he shall continue to be under suspension until the conclusion of the disciplinary proceedings/termination of all proceedings relating to the criminal charge(s). 5. It is further ordered that during the period this order remains in force the headquarters of Sri A.V. Narasimha Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise, Warangal shall be the same and he shall not leave the headquarters without obtaining the prior permission of the undersigned. 6. During the period of suspension he shall be eligible for payment of subsistence allowance as per rules in force.
