In respect of second allegation, the Enquiry Officer in his findings stated that there is a possibility of manipulation of ML Books and Data base, a detailed enquiry in this account is required. The Enquiry Officer has finally suggested that since the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation is headed by an IAS Officer, it is desirable to entrust the case to a senior IAS Officer. The Municipal Administration & Urban Development (L1) Department has further stated that the Enquiry Report was considered by Hon’ble Upa- Lokayukta and the Hon’ble Upa-Lokayukta while agreeing with the Enquiry Report requested to take necessary action against the concerned and submit a further action taken report under Rule 5 (8) of the A.P. Lokayukta and Upa- Lokayukta (Investigation) Rules, 1984. 2) After careful examination of the matter, Government decided to get the matter enquired into by a Senior Officer. 3) Accordingly, Government hereby appoint Sri Sunil Sharma, IAS (1990), Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Employment as Enquiry Officer to inquire into the above matter and submit his report to Government.
