The School of Skill Education (SSE) at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences successfully hosted
its Conferment Ceremony at the TISS Convention Centre, Malti and A.D. Jal Naoroji Campus,
Mumbai, on April 23, 2026.
The ceremony featured a special video address by the Hon’ble Minister for Skill Development
and Entrepreneurship, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, in which he
highlighted the transformative potential of skill education in empowering youth, fostering
entrepreneurship, and driving India’s growth, in line with the vision of “Kaushal Bharat se
Khushhaal Bharat.” He further emphasized that TISS skill degrees distinguish themselves
through a strong integration of academic rigour and hands-on industry experience, enabling
graduates to be adaptable, job-ready, and responsive to real-world demands.
The event was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of TISS, Badri Narayan Tiwari, who
congratulated the graduating students and underscored the growing importance of industry-
aligned, skill-based education in shaping future-ready professionals.
Distinguished dignitaries present on the dais included Sunil Santha, Dean (Academic Affairs),
TISS; Narendra Mishra, Officiating Registrar, TISS; and Madhushree Sekher, Dean, School of
