PR No.43/2026 SEBI Releases its Annual Report for FY 2025-26 The Securities and Exchange Board of India has released its Annual Report for the financial year 2025-26. The statutory report has been submitted to the Government of India and tabled in Parliament as mandated under the SEBI Act, 1992. Prepared in accordance with the SEBI (Annual Report) Rules, 2021, the report provides a detailed account of SEBI’s policies and programmes, alongside market activities and trends for the period April 2025 to March 2026. The Report is structured under the following broad heads: i. Chairman’s Statement: Articulates SEBI's vision, market development initiatives and overarching priorities for the coming year; ii. Chapter 1: Reviews market trends and policy initiatives, and presents the forward-looking statement for FY 2026-27; iii. Chapter 2: Analyses India's economic and investment environment in comparison with advanced and emerging peer economies; iv. Chapters 3 to 7: Details of initiatives and activities under various market segments viz., primary market, secondary markets, fund management ecosystem, foreign portfolio investors, and credit rating agencies; v. Chapter 8 & 9: Highlights investor awareness programmes, investor centric policy measures, and technology centric measures; Page 1 of 2vi. Chapter 10: Outlines SEBI’s activities concerning regulatory actions, supervision, surveillance, enforcement, litigations, and new regulations /amendments etc.; vii. Chapters 11 to 13: Showcases international engagements, key activities of NISM and internal activities of SEBI. Additionally, Box Items are featured throughout the report to highlight key initiatives aimed at facilitating the ease of doing business, promoting market development, and protecting investors.
