Addition of Statute 41 to the existing Statutes of the Central Universities Act, 2009.
(1) There shall be a Planning & Monitoring Board (PMB) of the University which shall advise generally on the
planning and development activities of the University and monitor the standard of academic and physical
development of the University.
(2) The Planning & Monitoring Board shall comprise of:
a) The Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Chairman
b) One Dean of the School to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
c) One Head/Coordinator to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
d) One Professor to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
e) Six experts, known for their expertise/special interest in higher education/engineering/civil administration, to
be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor
f) The Registrar of the University
g) The Finance Officer of the University
h) The person designated by the Vice-Chancellor as the Planning & Development Officer shall be the Member
Secretary.
(3) The term of office of the members other than the ex-officio members, shall be three years and they shall be
eligible for re-nomination.
(4) The powers and functions of the PMB shall be as such as may be prescribed by the University.
