2334. DR. V. SIVADASAN:

Will the Minister of Heavy Industries be pleased to state:

(a) the names of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Ministry that have transferred their shares during the last five years;

(b) the details of private parties that have bought the shares of each of those CPSEs;

(c) the quantity of each of those share transfers and the year of transfer; and

(d) the names of CPSEs that were taken over or whose shares were bought by State Governments and the year of transfer? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES (SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA)

(a) to (c): During 2025-26, Government of India had offloaded 5% of the total paid-up equity share capital, i.e., 17,42,09,815 equity shares of BHEL, through Offer for Sale (OFS). It was executed through the stock exchanges in accordance with the regulatory framework laid down by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

(d): During 2021-22, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has transferred its entire stake (51%) from its subsidiary “BHEL- Electrical Machines Limited (BHEL-EML)” to Government of Kerala at a consideration of Rs. 1.
