Having considered the various submissions, the Directorate has deliberated the issue with all the stake holders and decided to align the practice being followed internationally for the tail shaft survey and certification in accordance with the revised IACS IJRZ.2l with following conditions: 1. ROs shall strictly follow the procedures of UR Z.2l for survey of propeller shafts and tube shafts. 2. ROs shall carryout propeller shafts and tube shafts extension surveys as per UR 2.21 and forward report to Directorate for concunence. \ro' 3.
