On September 30, 2025, the Ministry of Textiles announced the "Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) – 2025" Campaign with Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh holding a special interaction with Safai Mitras. As part of the campaign, special activities were organized in ministry offices. Shri Giriraj Singh inquired about the daily routines and challenges faced by the Safai Mitras and commended their contributions. Each Safai Mitra received a kit containing a T-shirt, mask, sanitizer, and other essential items, along with food packets.
The Ministry of Textiles, through its Twitter handle @TexMinIndia, shared that Shri Giriraj Singh interacted with sanitation workers at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi. The campaign, under #SwachhataHiSeva2025 and #SWACHHOTSAV, appreciates the contribution of Safai Mitras.
Other initiatives undertaken by organizations under the Ministry of Textiles include:
* Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Ltd (CCIC): Distributed masks and sanitizers to Safai Mitra at its headquarter.
* The Jute Corporation of India Limited (JCI): Conducted “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” at Corporations across India where 100+ saplings have been planted.
* National Jute Board (NJB): Conducted Cleaning Drive at Identified CTU at New Town, Kolkata.
* The Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms: Conducted Sanitization across all office premises.
* National Handloom Development Corporation Ltd. (NHDC): Awareness campaign organized for Safai Mitras. In the campaign they were made aware about the schemes being implemented by the ‘National Safai Karamchari Finance and Development Corporation' under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh holds a special interaction programme with all Safai Mitras of
the Ministry. The Union Minister inquired about their daily routine, working environment and noted the
challenges faced by them in their line of duty. He also lauded their invaluable contribution in ensuring
cleanliness and hygiene, underscoring their crucial role in society.
As a token of appreciation, each Safai Mitra was presented with a kit containing a T-shirt, mask, sanitizer, and
other essential items. Food packets were also distributed during the programme. The event was held in a very
motivating atmosphere, reflecting the Ministry’s continued commitment towards promoting cleanliness,
