The Seafarers’ Welfare Fund Society (SWFS), under the Directorate General of
Shipping, is organizing a Symposium on “Seafarer’s Recruitment and Welfare” to bring
together senior stakeholders from across the maritime recruitment ecosystem.
2. This symposium is specifically designed for senior management representatives of
RPSL companies, industry associations, maritime training institutes, and senior maritime
officials. It aims to strengthen regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and seafarer
welfare practices within the recruitment framework.

4. Accordingly, it is requested that all RPSL Companies and Maritime Training

outside Maharashtra are required to participate either physically or virtually, as appropriate.
5. It is further advised that participation shall be limited to one representative per
RPSL Company/MTI.
