(1) These rules may be called the Chemical Weapons Convention (Amendment) Rules, 2020. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Chemical Weapons Convention Rules, 2016, in rule 9, under the heading “II. Inspections”, for sub-rule (5), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:- “(5) The inspection team shall be allowed to enter and leave the territory of India only through New Delhi or Mumbai: Provided that the Authority shall change or add any other point of entry or exit with the prior permission of the Central Government.”.
