MINISTRY OF COAL
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th February, 2014
S. O. 414(E) .—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number
S. O. 3377, dated 18th November, 2011, published in Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India,
dated the 26th November, 2011, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and
Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government gave notice of
its intention to acquire all rights in the land measuring 374.00 hectares (approximately) or 924.15 acres
(approximately) as described in the SCHEDULE appended to that notification ;
And, whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of Section 8 of the said Act, has made his report to the
Central Government ;
And, whereas, the Central Government after considering the report aforesaid and after consulting the
Government of Maharashtra is satisfied that the rights to mine, quarry, bore, dig and search for win work and carry
away minerals in the lands measuring 374.00 hectares (approximately) or 924.15 acres (approximately) in all rights
described in the SCHEDULE appended hereto should be acquired.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the said Act, the
Central Government hereby declares that all rights in and over the land measuring 374.00 hectares (approximately)
or 924.15 acres (approximately) described in the SCHEDULE annexed hereto are hereby acquired.
The plan bearing number C-1(E) III/FR/882-0812, dated the 21st August, 2012 of the area covered by this
notification, may be inspected in the Office of the Collector, Nagpur (Maharashtra) or in the Office of the Coal
Controller, 1, Council House Street, Kolkata (Pin 700 001) or in the Office of the Western Coalfields Limited
(Revenue Department), Coal Estate, Civil Lines, Nagpur – 440 001 (Maharashtra).
