S.O. 1633(E).—Whereas the Central Government after considering the recommendations made to it by the
Standing Advisory Committee, had directed by Order S.O. 294(E), dated the 31st January, 2014, that the commodities
specified in column (2) of the Schedule to that Order, shall be packed in jute packaging material, for supply or

distribution, in such minimum percentage, as specified in the corresponding entries in column (3) of the said Schedule,
for the year 2013-2014 i.e. upto 30th June, 2014.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Jute Packaging
Materials (Compulsory Use in Packing Commodities) Act, 1987 (10 of 1987), the Central Government hereby directs
that the validity of the aforesaid Order, expiring on 30th June, 2014, shall be extended for a further period of five
months from the date of expiry of the said Order or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
