The Central Govt, on the basis of nomination received from the Maharashtra State Haj Committee, hereby nominates Shri Syed Farooq Syed Karim as a member of the Haj Committee of India under sub-section (ii) of Section 4 of the said Act.
This notification, S.O. 40E, issued by the Ministry of External Affairs on December 31, 2014, announces the nomination of Shri Syed Farooq Syed Karim as a member of the Haj Committee of India, under subsection ii of Section 4 of the Haj Committee Act, 2002. This nomination is based on the recommendation received from the Maharashtra State Haj Committee. Shri Syed Farooq Syed Karim's term extends up to May 6, 2016, effective from the date of this notification's publication in the Official Gazette.
This notification also amends the earlier notification S.O. 1165E, dated May 6, 2013, by substituting the entry for serial number 6 with the following details for Shri Syed Farooq Syed Karim: Member, Inamdar Pura, Ward No.11, Darvha, Tq.Darvha, District-Yavatmal, Maharashtra, Pin-445 202, Mobile No.9326916222, 9921723101. He was elected by the Maharashtra State Haj Committee. The original notification, S.O. 1165E, and subsequent amendments S.O.1453E, S.O. 1454E and S.O. 2957E are also referenced. The F. New Delhi, the 31st December, 2014
S.O. 40(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 3, 4, 5 and 6 read with Section 15 of
the Haj Committee Act, 2002 (35 of 2002), the Central Government, on the basis of nomination received
from the Maharashtra State Haj Committee, hereby nominates Shri Syed Farooq Syed Karim as a member
of the Haj Committee of India under sub-section (ii) of Section 4 of the said Act, for a period up to
6th May 2016 with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette; and for that
purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the
Ministry of External Affairs, number S.O. 1165(E), dated 6th May, 2013, namely:—
In the said notification, for serial number (6) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial
number and entries shall be substituted, namely:—

vide notification number S.O. 2957(E) dated the 24th November, 2014.
