Executive Summary:** The Central Universities Amendment Act, 2022, amends the Central Universities Act, 2009. The core purpose of this amendment is to establish and recognize the Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (formerly National Rail and Transportation Institute, Vadodara) as a Central University with all-India jurisdiction, sponsored and funded by the Ministry of Railways. Key findings include the transfer of assets, liabilities, and personnel from the National Rail and Transportation Institute to the Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, and the university's focus on transportation-related disciplines. **2. Introduction:** This report provides an overview of the Central Universities Amendment Act, 2022 (No. 17 of 2022), based solely on the information contained within the provided policy text.
