Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, is pleased to make rules regarding the method of recruitment for the post of "DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT" in the Delhi Prisons Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, as following, namely :- 1. Short title and commencement.-(I) These rules may be called the Deputy Superintendent Central Jail, Recruitment Rules 2014. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. Number of post, its classification, pay band and grade pay/scale of pay.—The number of said post, its classification, pay band and grade pay/scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in columns 2 to 4 to the Schedule annexed to these rules.(cid:9) 4 (cid:9) DELHI GAZETTE: EXTRAORDINARY [PART IV 3. Method of Recruitment, age limit, qualification etc.—The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post, shall be as specified in the columns 5 to 13 of the said Schedule. 4. Disqualifications.—No Person,- (a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living : or (b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, Shall be eligible for the appointment to the said post : Provided that the Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from operation of this rule. 5. Power to Relax.—Where the Government is of opinion that if necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, may relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of person. 6. Saving.—Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxations of age limit and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen, Other Backward Classes and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Government from time to time in this regard. Period of deputation / contract including period of deputation / contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed 4 years. No. F.9/125/2006-Home(G)/755.—In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs notification No.F.27/59-Min (H) dated the 13th July, 1959, and in supersession of the notification No.F.2(1)/74-S2 dated the 23rd January, 1979 except as respects things done or omitted to the done before such supersession, the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, is pleased to make rules regarding the method of recruitment to the post of SUPERINTENDENT, CENTRAL JAIL in the Delhi Prisons Department, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, as following namely :- 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Superintendent Central Jail, Recruitment Rules 2014. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. Number of post, its classification and scale of pay,- The number of said post, its classification and the scale of pay attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) to the Schedule annexed to these rules. 3. Method of recruitment, age limit, qualification etc., - The method of recruitment, age limit, qualifications and other matters relating to the said post, shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the Schedule aforesaid. 4. Disqualifications, No Person,- (a) Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse livings : or (b) Who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person Shall be eligible for the appointment to the said post : Provided that the Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from operation of this rule. 5. Power to Relax.- Where the Government is of opinion that if necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order, for reasons to be recorded in writing, may relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.PART IV}(cid:9) (cid:9) DELHI GAZETTE: EXTRAORDINARY 9 6. (II) five years experience in Administration/Maintenance of Law and order/security in a Jail of Central Govemment/State Government/Union Territories. Note-1: The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation (ISTC). Similarly, deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion. Period of deputation/contract including period of deputation/ contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed 4 years.
