No. MLO/VIU/TPT/2017/221/1740.—The following draft of rules, further to amend Delhi Motor Vehicles
Rules,1993, which are proposed to be made in exercise of powers given under rule 81 of the Central Motor Vehicle
Rules, 1989 by Central Government vide notification dated 21.03.2017, G.S.R 271E, clause 2(i), is hereby published as
required by sub-section (1) of section 212 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and
notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after expiry of a period of three days from the
date on which the copies of this notification as published in the Gazette of Delhi are made available to the public.

Draft Rules
Short Title and 1 (1) These rules may be called the Delhi Motor Vehicles
Commencement (Amendment) Rules, 2019.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final
publication in the Delhi Gazette.
Amendment in Rule 59 2 In the Delhi Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993, in rule 59, against the
item (a) in the table regarding issue of renewal of permit of an
auto-rickshaw, for figure and words Rs.1000/- (rupees one
thousand), the figure and words Rs.500/- (rupees five hundred)
shall be substituted,
Insertion of new rule 59 (A) 3 In the said rules, after rule 59, the following shall be inserted,
namely :-
Rule 59 (A). fees to be paid in respect of fitness, registration, transfer of ownership, penalty and hire purchase
addition for auto-rickshaw shall be as under:-
