DRAFT NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 31st July, 2018
S.R.O. 11(E).—The following draft rules, which the Central Government proposes to make, in
exercise of the powers conferred by section 346 read with section 23 of the Cantonment Act, 2006 (41 of
2006) and in modification of the rules vide S.R.O. 6(E) on 1st August, 2011 to regulate the payment of
honorarium and travelling allowances to Vice–Presidents and Elected Members of Cantonment Boards, except
as respects things done or omitted to be done before such modification, is hereby published as required by the
said section for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby; and notice is hereby given that the
said draft rules will be taken into consideration by the Central Government on or after the expiry of period of¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 4º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
sixty days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette of India in which this notification is published ,
are made available to the public;
Any objection or suggestion which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft
rules, before the expiry of the aforesaid period will be considered by the Central Government;
Objections or suggestions, if any, may be addressed to the Director (Land & Cantonment), Ministry of
Defence, Sena Bhavan, New Delhi – 110011.
DRAFT RULES
(1) (1) These rules may be called the Cantonments (Payments of Allowances to Vice President & Elected
Members (Amendment) Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the official Gazette.
(2) In the Cantonment (Payment of Allowances to Vice – President & Elected Members) Rules, 2011, the
‘Table’ in clause (1) of Rule 3 shall be deleted and substituted by the ‘Table’ and ‘Proviso’ below, namely:-
