2. The Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) shall deal with requests from persons seeking information
and render reasonable assistance to the persons seeking such information. The Central PIOs may seek the assistance of
any other officers as may be considered necessary for the proper discharge of duties. Any officers whose assistance has
been sought under the above mentioned Act, such other officer shall be treated as Central PIOs under section 5(5) of the
Right to Information Act, 2005.
3. The CPIO is to maintain the details regarding the number of requests received and action taken so as to
ensure compliance with the various provisions particularly Section 25 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
