R AmbedkarVeedhi Bengaluru, Date: 24.03.2026 NOTIFICATION Whereas the of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 2014, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964) in Notification No. HD 01 CNA 2026, dated: 13.03.2026 in part IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette dated : 16.03.2026 inviting objections and suggestion from all the persons likely to be affected within 7 days from the date of its publications in the official Gazette. Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 16.03.2026. And whereas no objections and suggestions are received in this behalf by the State Government. Now, therefore, in excises of the powers conferred by section 19 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964) the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely: - (1)R.N.I. Title and Commencement:(1) These rules may be called theKarnataka Cinemas (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of rule 26: In the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 2014, in rule 26, in sub-rule (1) in clause (d), for the words "Eight meters" the words "Six meters" shall be substituted.
