This notification from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, dated June 22, 2018, announces two appointments to the University Grants Commission (UGC).
S.O. 3096(E) appoints Prof. Raghvendra P. Tiwari, Vice Chancellor of Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, as a Member of the UGC. The appointment is effective immediately and is for a term of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This appointment is made in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of Sub-Section (3) of Section 5 read with clause (c) of Sub-Section (1) of Section 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956).
S.O. 3097(E) appoints Dr. Uma Chandrashekhar Vaidya, former Vice Chancellor of Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur, Maharashtra, as a Member of the UGC. This appointment is also effective immediately and is for a term of three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. This appointment is made in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (c) of Sub-Section (3) of Section 5 read with clause (c) of Sub-Section (1) of Section 6 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956).
