NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th June, 2015
G.S.R. 518 (E).—In exercise of the Powers conferred by Sub-section(1) of Section 124, read with Sub-section
(1) of Section 132 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Central Government hereby approves the
Mumbai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2015 made by the
Board of Trustees for the Port of Mumbai and set out in the Schedule annexed to this Notification.
The said Regulations shall come into force on the date of publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette.
SCHEDULE
MUMBAI PORT TRUST
Mumbai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2015.
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Board of
Trustees of the Port of Mumbai hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Mumbai Port Trust Employees
(Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2010, namely:-
I Short Title and commencement.-
(i) These Regulations may be called as the Mumbai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and
Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2015.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of publication of the approval of the Central Government as
required under the provisions of Section 124 and 132 of Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 in the Gazette of
India.
II In the Mumbai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2010, in the
schedule, for post of Dy. Chief Vigilance Officer at Sl.No.107 under the Vigilance Department -
(i) The entries under Column No.11 shall be substituted by the words, "By deputation".
(ii) the entries under Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following:
“Deputation from officers of Major Port Trusts holding analogous posts or officers holding posts in
the pay scale of Rs.24900-50500 (Rs.13000-18250 pre-revised) with 3 years regular service in the
grade in Major Port Trusts failing which from officers of the Central Government/State
Government/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies with similar grade.
Preference will be given to the persons having experience in vigilance work.
The selection will be by merit for which the benchmark in overall grading in the ACRs will not be
below "Very Good”
