New Delhi, the 21st April, 2014
G.S.R. 309(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 124, read with
Sub-section (1) of Section 132 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Central Government
hereby approves the Mumbai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) (Amendment)
Regulations, 2013 made by the Board of Trustees for the Port of Mumbai further to amend the Mumbai Port
Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2010 and are set out in the Schedule
annexed to this notification.
2. The said amendment regulations shall come into force on the date of publication of this notification in
the Official Gazette.
SCHEDULE
Mumbai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) (Amendment) Regulations,
2013.
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 28 of the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963, the Board of
Trustees of the Port of Mumbai hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Mumbai Port
Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion) Regulations, 2010, namely:
(1) These Regulations may be called the "Mumbai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority
and Promotion) Amendment Regulations, 2013".
(2) In the Schedule to the Mumbai Port Trust Employees (Recruitment, Seniority and Promotion)
Regulations, 2010, at Sl.No.80, details in Column No.12 shall be substituted by the following:

"Promotion from Sr. Medical Officer (Specialist) in the scale of pay of Rs. 10750-16750 with 4 years
regular service in the grade failing which Sr. Medical Officer (Specialist) with 2 years regular service
in the scale of pay of Rs. 10750-16750 and a combined regular service of 9 years in the scales of pay
of Rs. 9100-15100 and Rs. 10750-16750 in the relevant field of specialization and failing both
Sr. Medical Officer (General Duty) with post-graduate qualification in the relevant field and 4 years
regular service in the grade.
