2. वत-मान िविनयम 48 (iv) एव ंिविनयम 48 के .पCीकरण क(cid:26) धारा (क) को िन5निलिखत (cid:29)ारा (cid:30)ित.थािपत िकया जाएगा:

No. EP.36(1)/2004.----In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 45 of Food Corporation Act, 1964 (37 of
1964) and with the previous sanction of the Government of India, the Food Corporation of India hereby makes the
following Regulations to further amend the Food Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1971 namely:—
1. (i) These Regulations shall be called the Food Corporation of India (Staff) (2nd Amendment) Regulations,
2015.
(ii) These shall come into force from the date of Notification.
2. The existing Regulation 48 (iv) and Clause (a) of Explanation to Regulation 48 shall be substituted by the
following:
Regulation 48 (iv)
“Every employee shall report to the competent authority every transaction concerning moveable
property owned or held by him in his own name or in the name of a member of his family, within one
month from the date of such transaction, if the value of such property exceeds two months’ basic pay
of the employee.
Provided that the previous sanction of the prescribed authority shall be obtained by the Corporation
employee if such transaction is with a person having official dealings with him.”

“Explanation: for the purpose of this Regulation, the expression “moveable property” includes:
(a) Jewellery, insurance policies the annual premium of which exceeds two months’ basic pay of the
employee, securities and debentures.”
3. The following Regulation shall be inserted as Regulation 2(n) below Regulation 2 (m) under the

Regulation 2 (n)
“Basic pay means basic pay as defined under guidelines/ instructions issued by Department of Public
Enterprises relevant to the pay scales of Central Public Sector Enterprises followed in the Food
Corporation of India, as amended from time to time.”
