NOTIFICATION The draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Education Department Services (Department of Public Instructions) (Recruitment) Rules, 1967, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) is hereby published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the said Act, for the information of all the persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette. Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. Title and commencement:- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Education Department Services (Department of Public Instructions) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2025. (1)R.N.I. Amendment of Schedule: In the Karnataka Education Department Services (Department of Public Instructions) (Recruitment) Rules, 1967, in the schedule, under the heading "Class III, NON-GAZETTED posţs in the category of post of Primary School Teacher for class 1 to 5 at serial no. 66, in column no. (3),- (1) The existing note shall be numbered as Note-1; and (2) After Note -1, as so numbered the following shall be inserted namely:- "Note-2 Primary School Teachers teaching for Class 1 to 5 who are possessing Graduation in the necessary subjects specified in NCTE Guidelines and in the existing Cadre & Recruitment Rules for the post of Graduate Primary Teachers along with TET certification shall be eligible to teach for classes 6 and 7".
