TRAI Assesses Network Quality Across Hyderabad - Nizamabad NH, Nizamabad City and their adjoining areas in the State of Andhra Pradesh (under Andhra Pradesh Licensed Service Area)

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) conducted an Independent Drive Test (IDT) in the Andhra Pradesh Licensed Service Area (LSA), specifically covering Hyderabad Nizamabad NH, Nizamabad City, and adjoining areas, in July 2025. The tests, overseen by the TRAI Regional Office, Hyderabad, evaluated 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G network performance across urban, rural, and institutional environments. Testing occurred between July 28th and July 30th, 2025, covering 162.6 km on the Hyderabad Nizamabad NH, 404.9 km within Nizamabad City, a 1.0 km walk test, and 6 hotspot locations.

The assessment covered areas along Hyderabad to Nizamabad via NH44, including Masaipet, Narsingi, Ramayampet, Bhiknoor, Kamareddy, Dhaggi and Dharmaram and areas within Nizamabad City and nearby areas. Hotspot evaluations occurred at Kamareddy Bus Stand, Nizamabad Collector Office, Kanteshwar Temple, Nizamabad Area Hospital, Kamareddy Railway Station, and Venu Mall in Nizamabad.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) released its Independent Drive Test (IDT) findings for the
Andhra Pradesh Licensed Service Area (LSA), covering extensive city routes of Hyderabad - Nizamabad
NH, Nizamabad City in the month of July 2025. The drive tests conducted under the supervision of the TRAI
Regional Office, Hyderabad, were designed to capture real-world mobile network performance across diverse
usage environments- Urban Zones, Institutional Hotspots, rural residential areas etc.

Between 28 July 2025 to 30 July 2025, TRAI teams conducted detailed tests for 162.6Km
Hyderabad - Nizamabad NH, 404.9 Kms Nizamabad City drive test, 1.0 Km Walk test and 6 Hotspot
locations. Technologies evaluated included 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, reflecting the service experience
of users across multiple handset capabilities. The findings of the IDT have been intimated to all the
TSPs concerned.

Venu Mall, Nizamabad to reflect stationary user experience.
