Ms. No. 112, Commercial Taxes and Registration (K), 24th August 2016,ÝõE 8, ¶¡ºA, F¼õœÀõ˜ ݇´-2047.] No. SROB-59/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Registration Subordinate Service (Section 27 in Volume III of the Tamil Nadu Service Manual, 1970). 2. The amendments hereby made shall come into force with effect on and from the 24.08.2016. AMENDMENTS In the said Rules, in rule 8,- (1) the existing provision shall be numbered as sub-rule (1); (2) in sub-rule (1) as so numbered, after clause (b), the following clause shall be inserted, namely:- “(c) undergo Foundational 'B' Course Training at A & B Wing Foundational Course Training Institute, Chennai-600 028, for a period of three weeks:”; and (3) after sub-rule (1) as so numbered, the following sub-rule shall be added, namely; “(2) A person appointed as Sub-Registrar II Grade, by recruitment by transfer, shall during the period of probation, undergo Foundational 'B' Course Training at A & B Wing Foundational Course Training Institute, Chennai-600 028 for a period of three weeks: Provided that a person appointed as Sub-Registrar II Grade, by recruitment by transfer, who had completed 53 years of age on the date of commencement of training need not undergo the said Foundational 'B' Course Training.”. [G.O. Ms. No. 141, Public Works (D2), 24th August 2016, ÝõE 8, ¶¡ºA, F¼õœÀõ˜ ݇´-2047.] No. SRO B-60/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the rules published with the Public works Department Notification S.R.O.No. B-39/78, dated the 24th December 1977, at pages 40-41 of Part III--Section 1(a) of theTamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 25th January 1978. 2. Amendment (1) hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 27th August 1982. 3. Amendments (2) and (3), hereby made shall come into force on the 24th August 2016. AMENDMENTS In the said Rules,- (1) for the expressions “Geologicial Assistant” and “Geophysical Assistant”, wherever they occur, the expressions “Assistant Geologist” and “Assistant Geophysicist” shall, respectively, be substituted; (2) for rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:- “3. Appointment.—Appointment to the posts shall be made by direct recruitment.”;Sep. 21, 2016] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 87 (3)in rule 5, for the Table under sub-rule (b), the following Table shall be substituted, namely;- THE TABLE Serial Number Name of the Post Qualifications (1) (2) (3) 1. Assistant Geologist Master of Science degree in Geology or Master of Science degree in Applied Geology or Master of Science (Technology) in Hydrogeology of any University recognized by the University Grants Commission. 2. Assistant Geophysicist Master of Science degree in Geology or Master of Science degree in Applied Geology or Master of Science (Technology) in Hydrogeology with Geophysics/Geophysical Prospecting as one of the subjects of any University recognized by the University GrantsCommission. NOTIFICATION - II [G.O. Ms. No.141, Public Works (D2), 24th August 2016,ÝõE 8, ¶¡ºA, F¼õœÀõ˜ ݇´-2047.] No. SRO B-61/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the rules published with the Public works Department Notification S.R.O.No.B588/78, dated the 24th October 1978, at pages 711-712 of Part III--Section 1(b) of theTamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 22nd November 1978. 2. Amendments (1) and (2) hereby made shall come into force on the 24th August 2016. AMENDMENTS In the said Rules,- (1) for rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely;- “3. Appointment-Appointment to the post shall be made by direct recruitment.”; (2) in rule 5, for sub-rule (b), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:- “(b) Other qualifications.- No person shall be eligible for appointment to the post unless he possesses a Master's Degree in Geology or in Applied Geology or Master of Science (Technology) in Hydrogeology with Geochemistry/Chemistry as one of the subjects in degree Level or in the Post Graduate Level of any University recognised by the University Grants Commission”.
