The Union Minister of Textiles, Shri Giriraj Singh, today unveiled Bharat Tex 2026, India’s flagship
global textile event, signalling the country’s growing leadership in the global textile economy. Addressing
stakeholders from industry, government, and trade bodies, the Minister highlighted that Bharat Tex is
envisaged as a single largest global platform that brings together the entire textile value chain, ranging
from fibre and yarn to fabrics, garments, technical textiles, and sustainable innovations. Describing it as
the largest and most comprehensive textiles event ever, he commended the commitment of textile EPCs
and other industry bodies for their relentless efforts and dedication in bringing the entire value chain of
textiles under the Bharat Tex umbrella. He underlined that Bharat Tex will reaffirm the attractiveness of
India as a reliable, sustainable sourcing destination as well as an investment destination at scale for
textiles. With innovation, collaboration, and the Make in India spirit at its core, this event is an
embodiment of the 5F vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, he added.Secretary Ministry of Textiles, Smt. Neelam Shami Rao, Additional Secretary, Shri Rohit Kansal, senior
representatives of Export Promotion Councils, and industry leaders were present at the official launch
ceremony.

Building upon the remarkable success of earlier two editions, Bharat Tex 2026 is poised to be the largest
and most impactful edition to date. Scheduled to be held from 14-17 July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New
Delhi. The edition is expected to witness large scale participation of over 3,500 business exhibitors, over
7,000 international buyers from more than 140 countries and over 1,30,000 trade visitors. The event will
showcase the entire textile ecosystem, including fibres and yarns, fabrics, apparel and fashion, home
textiles, technical textiles, handicrafts, handlooms, and intelligent manufacturing technologies. The event
reflects India’s integrated strength across manufacturing, design, technology, and trade.
Bharat Tex 2026 builds upon the strong success of its previous editions in 2024 and 2025 and will offer a
unique convergence of exhibitions, knowledge sessions, reverse buyer-seller meets, and policy dialogues,
aimed at translating discussions into actionable outcomes. Special focus areas include sustainable and
circular textiles, technical textiles, MSME integration, innovation, and global market access.
The event will provide Indian MSMEs, exhibitors, start-ups, academia and designers a platform to
showcase their latest textile innovations, connect global manufacturers and buyers, engage in high-level
