[Rc.No.EIII(4)/48481/2016] No.VI-3(b)/32/2016. it is hereby notified that an election by direct polling will be held to elect a representative of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai to the Dental Council of India, by the members of the Senate, from amongst the members of the Dental Faculty of the University under section 3 (d) of the Dentists Act, 1948. The names of the members of the said Faculty is enclosed. Each member of the Senate shall be at liberty to nominate a qualified person to fill the vacancy. Every nomination shall be made by an elector in writing, and shall be seconded in writing by another elector. Every such nomination shall be accompanied by the consent of the nominee agreeing in writing to serve as representative of the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University to the Dental Council of India, if elected. The nomination form together with the form of consent of the candidate is sent herewith. Nomination papers shall be enclosed in an envelope addressed to the Registrar and superscribed “Nomination to the Dental Council of India by the Senate” as indicated below, and sent by Registered Post Acknowledgement due, so as to be received by the Registrar or delivered to the Registrar in person or by messenger within the date and hour fixed.
