1. The Directorate General of Shipping issued ‘NT Wing Miscellaneous Circular No.
NT/MISC/01 of 2017 dated 29.09.2017’ on the subject of implementation of United Nations Security
Council Resolutions regarding sanctions against Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) for
information and necessary action of all concerned stakeholders.
2. The earlier sanctions referred in NT Wing Miscellaneous Circular No. NT/MISC/01of 2017
dated 29.09.2017 imposed by the Security Council against DPRK vide UNSC Resolution 2371 (2017)
dated 05.08.2017 & 2375 (2017) dated 11.09.17 was issued in accordance with the Ministry of
External Affairs orders published in the official gazette S.O. 3495(E) on 31.10.2017 (available under

3. In response to the subsequent intercontinental ballistic missile launch by DPRK on
29.11.2017, the United Nations issued a Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 2397 dated
