He noted that the occasion was especially significant as Kaivalyadhama itself has completed a century of dedicated service to Yoga.Recalling the contribution of Swami Kuvalayananda, who founded Kaivalyadhama in 1924, the Vice- President said that he pioneered the scientific study of Yoga at a time when it was largely viewed as a mystical practice. He emphasised that the legacies of the past must be preserved and carried forward for future generations. “Yoga is not for one generation; it is for every generation to come,” he said.

Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan highlighted the growing global acceptance of Yoga and recalled Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s sustained efforts in taking its message to the international stage. He noted that Yoga is today practised across nations, cultures and communities.

Observing that technological progress and digital connectivity have made life increasingly fast-paced, the Vice-President said Yoga provides an opportunity to pause, concentrate, reflect and reconnect with oneself. He said Yoga helps bridge the gap between mind and body and promotes physical and mental well-being.

Addressing the young students, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan said India’s youth possess immense energy, talent and ambition, which achieve their fullest potential when combined with discipline and awareness.

Referring to Patanjali’s concept of chitta vritti nirodhah, he said the ability to calm and focus the mind is particularly relevant in an age of constant notifications and information overload.

The Vice-President said that any endeavour undertaken with good intention and with a sincere commitment to the well-being of society can leave a lasting legacy. Good legacies never die; they continue to inspire and benefit generations to come. The century-long journey of Kaivalyadhama is a living testament to this enduring truth.

The Vice-President congratulated the Trustees, Principal, faculty, students and alumni of the College and paid tribute to the vision of Swami Kuvalayananda and the contribution of Seth Makhanlal Seksaria.

On the occasion, the Vice-President also launched “Yoga Explained – Learn From the Master” by Shri O.

P. Tiwari. He visited the campus and interacted with the students, encouraging them to cultivate the values of discipline, concentration and self-awareness through the practice of Yoga.

Governor of Maharashtra Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, former Union Minister and Chairman of Kaivalyadhama Global Shri Suresh Prabhu, CEO of Kaivalyadhama Global Shri Subodh Tiwari, Chief Patron Shri Rakesh Seksaria, faculty members, students, alumni and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
