NOTICE
Mumbai, the 7th June, 2018
No. DOB & GO/VKK/331.—We refer to the Notice dated 09.05.2018 issued by the Chairman and
published in the Gazette of India on 18th May, 2018 and also in the newspapers on 22nd May, 2018. The said
notice is regarding holding a General Meeting of the Shareholders of State Bank of India on Wednesday,
27th June 2018, to elect one Director to the Central Board of the Bank under Section 19(c) of the State Bank of
India Act, 1955 to fill the casual vacancy occurred u/s 25(2)(a) of the SBI Act, 1955 consequent upon the
resignation of Shri Pravin Hari Kutumbe. In this regard notice is hereby given that only one nomination has
been received for the above vacancy upto the closing time fixed for receipt of nominations. The aforesaid
nomination has been found valid. In terms of Section 19A of the State Bank of India Act, 1955, the candidate
has been found “fit and proper” for being elected as Director to the Central Board of the Bank. The name and
address of the candidate, from whom the above nomination has been received is as under:

2. Since there is only one valid nomination received for the above vacancy, in terms of Regulation
40(3) of State Bank of India General Regulations, 1955, Shri B. Venugopal has been declared duly elected as
Shareholders’ Director on the Bank’s Central Board for unexpired portion of the term of Shri Kutumbe i.e.
upto 25th June, 2020.
3. The General Meeting of shareholders of the Bank scheduled to be held on 27th June, 2018 for the
purpose of the aforesaid election, therefore stands cancelled.
