NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th March, 2021
S.O. 1244(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O.
956, dated the 20th October, 2020, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition
and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of
India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 24th October, 2020, the Central Government gave notice of its
intention to acquire the land measuring 3.229 hectares (approximately) or 7.980 acres (approximately) and all rights in
and over such lands in the locality specified in the Schedule appended to that notification;
And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report to the
Central Government;
And whereas, the Central Government after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the
Government of Jharkhand is satisfied that the all rights in and over land measuring 3.229 hectares (approximately) or
7.980 acres (approximately) described in the Schedule appended hereto shall be acquired;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the
Central Government hereby declares that all rights in and over land measuring 3.229 hectares (approximately) or
7.980 acres (approximately) described in the Schedule annexed hereto are hereby acquired.
The plan bearing number REV/07/2021, dated the 18th January, 2021 of the area covered by this notification
may be inspected at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, District - Hazaribagh, Jharkhand or at the Office of Coal
Controller, 1, Council House street, Kolkata 700001 or at the Office of the General Manager, Argada Area, District -
Hazaribagh, Jharkhand or General Manager, Land and Revenue, Central Coalfields Limited, Darbhanga House,
