Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O. 588, dated the 9th March, 2017 issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 11th March, 2017, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire 1632.380 hectares (approximately) or 4033.61 acres (approximately) land as surface rights in or over such lands specified in the Schedule appended to that notification; And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report to the Central Government; And whereas, the Central Government after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the Government of Chhattisgarh, is satisfied that the lands measuring 1632.380 hectares (approximately) or 4033.61 acres (approximately) as surface rights in or over such lands as described in Schedule appended hereto, should be acquired; Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares
