the 30th March, 2017 S.O. 1004(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number S.O. 3357(E), dated the 1st November, 2016, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 2nd November, 2016, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire all rights in or over such land measuring 397.776 hectares (approximately) or 982.90 acres (approximately) in the locality specified in the Schedule appended to that notification; And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act has made his report to the Central Government; And whereas, the Central Government after considering the aforesaid report and after consulting the Government of Madhya Pradesh, is satisfied that the lands measuring 397.776 hectares (approximately) or 982.90 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in Schedule appended hereto, should be acquired; Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub- section (1) of section 9 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that all rights in or over such land measuring 397.776 hectares (approximately) or 982.90 acres (approximately) as described in Schedule are hereby acquired.
