CENTRAL ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th December, 2025
F. No. L-1/2064/2022-CERC.—Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 178(2)(zb) read
with Section 92(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003), and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, and after
previous publication, the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission had notified the Central Electricity Regulatory
Commission (Conduct of Business) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2025 in the Gazette of India Extraordinary (Part-
III, Section-4, No. 290) on 7th January, 2025;
Whereas, sub-regulation (3) of regulation 60 A of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct
of Business) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2025 provides that the Commission, through separate notification, may
fix the travelling allowance, daily allowance, accommodation, taxi fare, and honorarium as may be admissible to the
experts or persons of eminence who participate in the meetings of the expert committee or consultation process or
seminar or lectures, as the case may be, in terms of sub-regulations (1) and (2) of this Regulation.
And now, therefore, the following is notified in terms of sub-regulation (3) of Regulation 60A of the
Principal Regulations:
“While attending the meetings of the Expert Committee or consultation process or seminar or lectures, the
members/experts not in employment of Central/State Government or PSE shall be entitled to honorarium of Rupees
fifteen thousand per sitting/seminar/lecture, Premium Economy/ Economy Air Fare/1st class Rail Fare, Taxi fare (on
production of bills) and accommodation (subject to a celling as per entitlement of Secretary to the Government of
India).
Provided further that the amount of honorarium may be revised by the Commission from time to time
through separate notification.”
