NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th May, 2019
S.O. 1866(E).─Whereas in pursuance of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Indian Medicine
Central Council Act, 1970 (48 of 1970), hereinafter referred to as the said Act, read with rule 21 of the Indian Medicine
Central Council (Election) Rules, 1975, the members for Ayurveda and Unani systems of medicine from the State of
Telangana, in which the State Register of Indian Medicine is maintained, have been elected from amongst themselves by
persons enrolled on that Register as practitioners of Ayurveda and Unani.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the said Act, the Central
Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the
erstwhile Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Health, number S.O. 3259, dated the 21st August, 1971,
namely:—
In the said notification, in the TABLE, under the heading “Elected under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of
section 3”, after the State of Tamil Nadu and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be inserted, namely:—
